Dundalk Chamber recently held a very successful Shop Local Christmas Window competition. Sponsored by Michael Lavelle Estate Agents, the competition saw over 68 entries with categories for Charity, Retail and Hospitality alongside an overall winner.
Speaking on the announcement of the winners, Dundalk Chamber CEO John McGahon said
“With 68 applications received, the competition saw an exceptional standard of displays across the town. It was a real credit to all the shops to have put so much effort into getting their windows ready. A special thank you to Helen Byrne, Chairperson of Dundalk Tidy Towns, for her help as part of the judging panel. Helen does a great amount of work for Dundalk with the Tidy Towns and we were delighted to have her involved with our competition.
Speaking about sponsoring this year’s competition, Joanne Lavelle of Michael Lavelle Estate Agents said “This competition shows Dundalk and the North East at its very best. The creativity and effort businesses put in were exceptional. Michael Lavelle Estate Agents were delighted to sponsor the competition and to reward outstanding Christmas windows but in truth all the 68 entries were amazing.”
