Development Agencies
The North-East regional office of the IDA (Industrial Development Agency) is based in Dundalk. The IDA is the state agency tasked with attracting foreign investment to Ireland.
As well as assisting in identifying potential locations for businesses, the IDA may also provide financial incentives to multinationals. The foreign owned companies with operations in the region include Irish Life, Kaseya, National Pen, Prometric, Wasdell Group and WuXi Biologics.
IDA’s Finnabair Business Park in Dundalk, adjacent to the Institute of Technology, provides building and Greenfield site solutions for overseas companies. IDA also has a developed land bank in Dundalk of circa 60 hectares (150 acres) capable of meeting the demands of large process related industry.
