An Tain Arts Centre located at the Town Hall on Crowe Street is bringing three very different productions to Dundalk this June.

‘Good With Faces’ – A Riveting new play looking at Parenting, Power, and the Truth Behind Closed Doors

Wednesday 11th June | 8pm

Tickets: €20 / €18 concession (plus €1.50 booking fee per ticket).

Award-winning writer and director Oisín Kearney returns to the An Táin Arts Centre stage with Good With Faces, a powerful new play exploring parenting, power, and the complexities of care.  Good With Faces tells the story of, Anne Garrick. She has tidied her house, washed her face, and even bought the good biscuits. She’s prepared for the visit. Or so she thinks. When social worker Liam Hegarty arrives to assess her relationship with her son Max, what begins as a routine interview spirals into a tense, deeply personal interrogation. As the questions grow more intrusive, uncomfortable truths begin to surface.
Will the truth come out? Who do we believe? And what is really going on with Max? Good With Faces offers a gripping and timely exploration of the social systems we trust, the people we judge, and the hidden realities behind closed doors. With Kearney’s trademark emotional intensity and sharp dialogue, this production is set to challenge and captivate audiences in equal measure.

Paul Hayes, Director of An Táin Arts Centre says “I’m personally delighted to have Oisín Kearney’s new play come to Dundalk, the last time I saw a play by Oisín was the award winning Richard III in the Lyric in Belfast. He is a writer of great merit and tenacity and if you are a theatre lover I would certainly encourage you not to miss it!”
