Businesses and workers in the cross-border region face unique opportunities and challenges, from tax and pension for workers to recruitment and accessing supports for employers. To help Dundalk Chamber with our partners CBPES are hosting a free lunchtime HR Information session that will help both understand the grey areas when working/employing cross border and making them work for you.
Speaker is Martin Casey from Cross Border Solutions who help their clients with the often very complicated issues arising from working and living on different sides of the Irish border. This may include issues such as Taxation, Welfare, State Pensions and Family Benefits.
Session topics include:
- What tax reliefs and benefits could I be entitled to as a cross-border worker?
- Can I contribute to both state pensions? Can I get paid from both at retirement?
- Are there any tax advantages to working for either Government?
- Hybrid/flexible working from home. How to avoid the pitfalls if you live in the other jurisdiction.
- Employers, is it always best to offer a working from home option?
CBPES provide free information, recruitment services to job seekers, workers and employers in the cross-border region. For more information on this service go to www.cbpes.com
