Dundalk Chamber held their annual post Budget breakfast on Wednesday morning. The briefing was given, by Colin Spence of Ernest and Young.
Speaking after the event, Dundalk Chamber of Commerce CEO John McGahon said “Dundalk Chamber have been running this event for over 20 years, and it has always been well attended, but on this occasion with had over 200 attendees booked in. It was great to have Stephen Healy and members of Dundalk Credit Union there as our main sponsor, the Credit Union have made an important contribution to the economic and community life of Dundalk for decades said John.”
Dundalk Chamber President Hanna McDonnell viewed this year’s Budget Breakfast as one of our the most successful events yet.
“The room was packed with local businesses eager to hear expert analysis and what Budget 2026 means for Dundalk and the country. The large attendance is a testament to the strength of our business community and the Chamber’s role in bringing people together to share insights and opportunities”
Dundalk PRO Paddy Malone outlined how Colin Spence from EY provided invaluable insights, breaking down the key measures for SMEs, highlighting new opportunities in sustainability and innovation, and giving a clear outlook on what businesses can expect in the year ahead.
Paddy also mentioned the importance of Dundalk being added to the Living City Initiative and emphasised opportunities the scheme will have to maximise the potential of our living city status. This can be achieved by the Council, Chamber and other stakeholders working together.
