Terms and Conditions – Online Payments

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all online payments made through dundalk.ie/payments, including payments for event tickets and membership fees, to Dundalk Chamber of Commerce (“DCOC”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By making a payment through this website, you (“you”, “the payer”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms please do not proceed with payment and contact us directly using the details in Section 10.

2. Definitions

  • “Event” means any conference, seminar, networking function, workshop, or other activity organised or hosted by DCOC and made available for paid ticket purchase through this website.
  • “Membership Fee” means any subscription, joining fee, or renewal fee payable to become or remain a member of DCOC.
  • “Payment Processor” means Stripe, the third-party payment service provider used to process transactions on this website.

3. What You Can Pay For

Through dundalk.ie/payments you may:

  • Purchase tickets for DCOC events
  • Pay membership fees, including new membership applications and renewals

4. Payment Processing

  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe. DCOC does not store or have access to your full card details at any point.
  • By submitting payment you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
  • Prices are shown in Euro (€) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise.
  • A payment is only confirmed once you receive an email confirmation from DCOC. If you do not receive confirmation within a reasonable time please contact us before assuming payment was unsuccessful.

5. Event Tickets

  • Ticket purchases are subject to availability. DCOC reserves the right to limit the number of tickets sold for any event.
  • Your ticket confirmation email is your proof of purchase. You may be asked to present this on arrival at the event.
  • Tickets are non-transferable unless otherwise agreed with DCOC in advance.

5.1 Event Changes or Cancellation by DCOC

  • DCOC reserves the right to change the date, time, venue, or speakers of an event, or to cancel an event, where circumstances require.
  • If DCOC cancels an event, ticket holders will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer their ticket to a rescheduled date, at DCOC’s discretion.
  • DCOC is not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by ticket holders in connection with an event that is changed or cancelled.

6. Membership Fees

  • Membership fees are payable as set out at the time of application or renewal.
  • Payment of a membership fee does not guarantee acceptance of membership. DCOC reserves the right to approve or decline membership applications in accordance with its membership policy.
  • Membership benefits commence once payment has been confirmed and the application has been accepted by DCOC.

7. Refunds and Cancellations

Refund requests, whether relating to event tickets or membership fees, are considered by DCOC on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact DCOC using the details in Section 10, stating the reason for your request.

  • DCOC will assess each request individually, taking into account factors such as timing, circumstances, and any costs already incurred by DCOC.
  • DCOC is under no obligation to issue a refund and reserves full discretion in deciding the outcome of any request.
  • Where a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method, normally within 10 business days.

8. Data Protection

  • Personal and payment data submitted through dundalk.ie/payments is processed in accordance with DCOC’s Privacy Policy [link] and applicable data protection law, including the GDPR.
  • Payment card data is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with its own privacy and security standards. DCOC does not store full card numbers.

9. Liability

  • DCOC will take reasonable care to ensure this payment system operates correctly but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
  • To the extent permitted by law, DCOC is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this payment function, including losses caused by technical failure, third-party payment processing issues, or delays.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits DCOC’s liability where such limitation is not permitted under Irish law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
