Yet another successful year for the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic sponsored by Servisource &

A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all at the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic which is one of the longest established and popular golf classics in the North East region. This very prestigious annual event, sponsored by Servisource & was held on Friday 29th August at the Dundalk Golf Club, Blackrock and had 43 teams booked in. Year on year the success of this event has drawn many teams back to enjoy the warm atmosphere and hospitality experienced on the day.

Winning team Moffett Engineering

The Dundalk Golf course as usual was in magnificent condition and is unquestionably one of Ireland’s premium parkland layouts. The traditional delicious bar-b-que was enjoyed by team members at the 9th hole was sponsored by McArdle Meats and also offered an opportunity to meet other team players for a chat before completing the course.  An evening of entertainment followed with dinner, prize presentation and a raffle in the Club House followed by music.
It was a fantastic competition and the results were as follows:

First Prize: Moffett Engineering with 98 points. Team included Paul Rogan, Brian Carey, Kevin Turnbull and Gary Kelly.

Second Prize: Newry and Mourne District Council with 94 points. Team included Jim McCorry, Colin Moffett, Andy Graham and Joey Annett.

Third Prizes: Chamber of Commerce Team with 93 points. Team included Martin Patterson, Cathal O Hare, Gary McLoughlin and Frank Pentony.

Fourth Prize: was Truform with 92 points and included Damien Savage, John Kerr, Shane O Reilly and Brendan Tumilty.

Fifth Prize: was won by Dimpco Team with 91 points. Team included Ian McDonald, John McGrane, Martin Farrelly and Robbie McCreevy.

The fantastic raffle which followed included a variety of prizes including 2 tickets to Blood Brothers in the Bord Gais Theatre won by Anne Doohan and a beautiful DKNY Handbag donated by Miro Shoes was won by Angela Kilboy.
