Do you fancy a good night out with a difference, while at the same time supporting the county’s tidy towns programme?
‘Trashion Fashion’, the catwalk show that showcases couture outfits, made from materials destined for the bin, will take place in the Carrickdale Hotel on Tuesday 27th January at 7.30pm!
Tickets are very reasonably priced at just €5, with all proceeds going back into the community, and helping to fund Tidy Towns programmes for the year ahead.
Now into its third year, this event has proven to be very impressive, showcasing the best creative talent that Louth has to offer. Indeed, previous entrants have made it through to the national ‘Junk Kouture’ All-Ireland finals , with Louth students appearing on both the ‘Late Late Show’ and ‘The Saturday Night Show’, on successive years!
There will be 53 models on the night – male and female so equality is the order of the day!
There’s further value for your fiver with interval entertainment while the judges deliberate on the results, a raffle with very good prizes and the bar will be open for the non-driving adults who may wish to have a drink. Organised by Louth Tidy Towns Together in partnership with the Environmental Awareness Team in Louth County Council the following schools will be taking to the catwalk on the night;
- Bush Post Primary School
- St Vincent’s Secondary School Dundalk
- O Fiaich College Dundalk
- Scoil Ui Mhuiri Dunleer
- Drogheda Youthreach
Come along and support your local entries who have nominated their local tidy towns groups as partners thus ensuring that the initiative will be recognised in both green school assessments and the National Tidy Towns adjudication process. Please email directly to the organisers at email@example.com. Please support if you can at all – a good night out, supporting a worthy cause, and contributing to the upkeep of the many tidy towns and villages throughout the county.
