Dundalk is great for shopping and boasts a great mix of independent, locally-owned stores in the town centre and well-known high street retailers in the town’s four shopping centres – Dundalk Shopping Centre, The Long Walk Shopping Centre, Carroll Village Shopping Centre and The Marshes – Dundalk’s newest retail offering’.

Perhaps Dundalk’s best-kept secret though is that it’s a real hidden gem when it comes to boutique-shopping.  Dedicated fashion fans, always on the look-out for something different and unique from what’s available in the high-street stores, will have a ball discovering the unique stores here.   Bridge Street Studios in the town centre is also a great place to pick up unusual jewellery or pieces of art for the home from local designers.  

The town is also an epicentre for craft-ware and nearby Carlingford also has a number of craft outlets and quaint antique shops, dotted around the village.  The Millmount Craft Centre in Drogheda approximately 30 km from Dundalk also features the wares of local craftmakers.
