Dundalk Chamber’s policies are formed by the views of its members. The Chamber Council consists of 19 members who meet every month. As the elected representative body of the Chamber, the Council is responsible to the membership for the overall performance of the Chamber organisation. The Council develops policy, appoints and monitors the activities of committees, reports to members at least annually, and delegates to its committee chairmen, authority to act on its behalf.

The Chamber structure is designed to meet the needs of the key business sectors in the community and to ensure their development objectives are met by appropriate representation on each sector’s behalf. All committee chairpersons are appointed by and accountable to the Chamber Council.
