A new ambitious project called "Altitude" has been proposed for Dundalk. It will include building 13,500 square meters 'Snowflex' ski slope facility, indoor events arenas, indoor and outdoor adventure park with climbing, caving, ropes courses, children’s play areas, white water rafting and canoe slalom course.

Carlingford Adventure Centre offers over twenty land and water activities. Sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, abseiling, hill walking, archery and many more.

The Cooley Peninsula is a hilly peninsula in County Louth, which includes towns such as Omeath, Carlingford and Greenore. It is 20 minutes drive from Dundalk Town.

The main swimming pool in Dundalk (there are others) is located right next door to the local authorities offices at the Millennium Centre, St. Alphonsus Road. Open from as early as 7am, you can always go for a swim while in Dundalk!
